Position Description:
The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Modeling Simulation and Training (MST) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. The MST PO will be responsible for reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms working with Program Management to set priorities for new capabilities and defects and providing guidance to the MST team for each Program Increment (PI) and Sprint. The MST PO will support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for MST tasks and stories as well as be responsible for the verification of work performed by the MST team. The position will include technical briefings demonstrations and advisement to leadership. The PO will report on status; recommended courses of actions competing capabilities performance risks and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Basic Qualifications:
The candidate must have a good understanding of modeling and simulations for sensors and weapon systems and general knowledge of scenario changes (defense planning threats) needed to test new command and control capability. The candidate will also be expected to create and maintain a prioritized product backlog of user stories and tasks and be able to work directly with the Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives.

Previous experience with/knowledge of IBCS PATRIOT MEADS THAAD C2BMC or AEGIS preferred. The ability to move out and champion your ideas architectures designs enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude are very important. Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus. Possessing an Agilist Certification is an additional plus.
Security Requirements:
Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
