This position will impact the institution by identifying business opportunities and executing strategic proposals to secure funding for dynamic continuing medical education (CME) programming. This position will have a hybrid schedule with the selected candidate working two (2) days per week in office and three (3) days per week remotely.

Position Summary
Manages the educational strategy and business development activities within the Office of Professional Education. Writes and developseducational grant proposals and programmatic conceptsto generate revenues aligned with budgetary expectations. Supervises the Educational Strategy team in all aspects of grant management including the development of proposals budgets grant applications contracting reconciliations and monitoring of commercial supporter request for proposals (RFPs) and disease and program areas of interest.
Essential Duties
- Supervises and develops an effective staff providing effective communication leadership guidance and resources for a successful team.
- Manages system for documenting interactions and communication with partners and funders to include grant portal logins and passwords and funding/partnership history or potential grants and projects as well as the development submission contracting monitoring and reconciliations of educational grants.
- Develops effective strategy in collaboration with the Director for business development and departmental growth. Develops and prioritizes projects and proposals to maximize the efforts of the department.
- Secures funding for educational programs and initiatives to meet financial goals of the department by managing all aspects of program planning and design grant proposal writing and grant proposal submission.
- Networks and develops business relationships to foster new collaborations and funding opportunities.
- Leads negotiations of complex contracts (e.g. Memoranda of Understanding Business Associate Agreements Joint Sponsorship Agreements) involving multiple partners and sponsors in consultation with the Director Office of Professional Education.
- Works with the team to monitor and track funding opportunities from pharmaceutical medical device biotech medical education companies and foundations and communicates information for strategic planning.
- Initiates develops and maintains relationships with key leadership and grant managers in of pharmaceutical medical device biotech medical education companies and foundations. Communicates with key leadership of these enterprises on a regular basis to establish key contacts build relationships present educational concepts and discuss program opportunities.
- Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with key NJH faculty by meeting with NJH faculty and external Key Opinion Leaders on an asneeded basis to develop needs assessments and grant proposals and to discuss future program opportunities.
- Develops and presents abstracts and educational presentations at local regional and national conferences to maintain visibility and represent National Jewish Health in a professional manner.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing or healthrelated field required. Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration Health Education Health Promotion Public Health or other related field preferred.
- Work Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of Continuing Medical Education pharmaceutical sales business development marketing or health promotion experience required. Experience in writing grants or business development proposals required.
- Special Training Certification or Licensure: Certified Healthcare CPD Professional (CHCP) certification preferred.
