Software Engineer (Server) IIIThe Team
We are a rapidly growing and talented engineering team building product and platform software. The team owns and is responsible for solutions to support Clover POS applications.
The Role
This position is in Clovers Point of Sale zone. The senior server engineer is critical in software development producing quality reliable scalable applications to support Clover products. With Clover these businesses can run thousands of transactions and remotely access and handle orders and inventory through a single solution.
What You Will Do
- Own and develop key product and platform features.
- Build and maintain scalable resilient applications and contribute to frameworks and libraries.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional engineering product managers and designers to translate requirements into functional maintainable software.
- Develop tests and work closely with QA to define testing strategies.
- Participate in code and design reviews deployment and release activities.
- Participate in a regular oncall rotation.
What You Will Need To Have
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical education.
- 7 years in software development with a focus on distributed systems.
- 2 years of technical leadership delivering complex systems to production.
- Expertise in objectoriented design and cloud systems.
- Proficiency in Java Kotlin or Scala.
- Strong background in database design and SQL.
- Experience with microservices and cloudnative architectures.
- Solid grasp of algorithms data structures and system design principles.
- Ability to write maintainable testable and highperformance code.
- Experience with agile methodologies iterative development and lean practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows source control and automated testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
What Would Be Great To Have
- Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Professional architect or cloud service provider certifications.
- Exposure to generative and agentic AI
- Knowledge and experience with NoSQL.
- Interest in functional programming.
- Experience with POS systems.
Salary Range
$96400.00 $162000.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
