We are seeking a creative and detailoriented Copywriter & Content Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a strong communicator with a passion for storytelling and a strategic mindset. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling copy across multiple platforms including marketing materials social media grant proposals and website content. The ability to manage content calendars adapt tone for different audiences and work crossfunctionally with teams is essential.
Content Creation & Copywriting
Write edit and proofread clear engaging copy for brochures email campaigns press releases internal documents and promotional materials.
Develop and execute social media content strategies across platforms (LinkedIn Instagram Facebook X etc.).
Collaborate with designers and marketing leads to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
Website Content Management
Write edit and update website content ensuring alignment with brand voice and SEO best practices.
Use CMS tools (e.g. WordPress Squarespace) to upload and format content manage updates and improve UX through thoughtful copy.
Monitor web analytics to adjust content strategy as needed.
Grant Writing
Research write and submit grant applications in coordination with development or fundraising teams.
Tailor messaging to align with grantor priorities organizational mission and funding criteria.
Marketing Campaign Support
Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns that promote brand awareness and drive engagement.
Contribute to the development of pitch decks fundraising materials and promotional presentations.
Content Strategy & Planning
Maintain and manage editorial calendars.
Monitor trends analyze content performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Journalism English or related field.
3 years of copywriting and content development experience preferably in a marketing or nonprofit environment.
Strong portfolio showcasing writing across various formats (digital print grant proposals etc.).
Proficiency in content management systems (e.g. WordPress) social media scheduling tools and basic SEO principles.
Excellent grammar editing and proofreading skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects meet tight deadlines and adapt to feedback.
Knowledge of nonprofit communications and fundraising (preferred).
Strong storytelling and persuasive writing skills.
Understanding of content analytics and performance metrics.
Ability to adapt voice/tone for different audiences and mediums.
Basic design or layout experience (Canva Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
