Motion Graphics Designer

Reporting to the Creative Director this entrylevel position requires demonstrated qualifications and skills for contributing to and highly impacting a Projects successful content/design solution. It also includes projectbased accountabilities and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in designing storyboards keyframes and initial concept prototypes
• Participating in brainstorming sessions to create conceptual design design detailing branding and content packages
• Creating technologydriven solutions
• Stays up to date with popular culture trends and industry news
• Collaborates and works with team and stays within deadlines
• Maintains and organizes editorial/motion design workflows including project files and a wide variety of visual assets and content types including animation raw video and immersive content
• Supports and contributes to the Project Teams executed technology design solution and deliverables on assigned projects
• Executes and delivers projectbased solutions with speed and quality while incorporating and maintaining Project Leaderships direction and feedback
• Contributes to client presentations and communications as assigned
• Hand sketching digitally rendering or prototyping solutions throughout a variety of Design/Content Phases: Conceptual Schematic Design Development Production and PostProduction
• Understands project deadlines and milestones
• Understands the DI process including Design Development Audio Visual and other DI Departments such as Fabrication and Innovation
• Interfaces directly with internal creative production and development teams to learn and understand potential solutions
• Exudes a Go where needed attitude and outlook on role
• Participates in process improvement and best practices within the department
• Focuses on learning and absorbing new information and knowledge from DI subject matter experts (team members and support staff DI team members clients etc.)
• Supports the success of team members

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• High comfort level working within aggressive timelines
• Strong knowledge of the design process including concept generation creative solutions
• Strong knowledge of the Adobe Suite of applications primarily Adobe Photoshop Illustrator After Effects and Premiere
• Previous experience with 3D modeling and animation is a plus (Cinema 4D as primary)
• Previous experience with interactive technologies and camera/sensordriven tech is a plus
• Desire to learn new software platforms/plugins to improve workflow
• High energy level exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail including analytical problemsolving skills
• MultiTask / MultiProject oriented with the ability to change gears quickly
• Displays initiative in everyday tasks as well as development of personal and studio goals
• Range of design aesthetics and flexible with design styles
• Understands material costs time limits and production

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors or Associate degree in Art Motion Design Animation Graphic Design Video Production or similar preferred; however selftaught individuals may still be qualified and will be evaluated based on submitted portfolio.
• Demonstration of abilities through a strong portfolio of diverse work
• Prior experience in Motion Design or related field is a plus
• Experience with generative AI is a plus
• Onset liveaction production experience is a plus

Due to our onsite Fabrication process the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
