Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking a customer service professional to be part of our Nursing Facility Policy Section. As a Customer Service Assistant your responsibilities will include:

• processing Medicaid nursing facility admissions and discharges

• entering data onto longterm care (LTC) screens in Medicaid eligibility system (Ohio Benefits) or in Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS)

• looking up cases in MITS and Ohio Benefits to research transactions and edit data
  

The preferred candidate will have strong attention to detail as it is important for data to be researched inputted and edited accurately.

THIS POSITION IS INTERMITTENT & IS NOT TO EXCEED 1000 HOURS IN A STATE FISCAL YEAR.

THIS POSITION IS UNCLASSIFIED PER 124.11 (A) (29) OHIO REVISED CODE.

Compensation is as listed on the posting unless required by legislation or union contract.

Travel required as needed. Must provide own transportation. Or in order to operate a state vehicle you must have a valid drivers license from state of residence.

3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in office practices & procedures; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations or customer service to include techniques for dealing with difficult people; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in typing keyboarding data entry or word processing; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in operation of personal computer.

Or equivalent of Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above. Note: in the telecommunications section within the Ohio Department of Public Safety employees will automatically be reassigned to the Customer Services Assistant 2 64432 classification after serving 6 months as a Customer Service Assistant 1 64431.
