Description

Summary:

Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a Simulations Integration Manager (SIM) to support the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Mission Training Complex (MTC) Contract with operations simulations training logistics Cybersecurity and IT (Cyberspace) support. JBSA MTC can distribute training and exercises to various locations within the Army North (ARNORTH) and Army South (ARSOUTH) Areas of Responsibility (AOR). The MTC provides individual through collective training and sustainment on Army Command and Control Information Systems (C2IS) the Command and Control Warfighting Function (WfF) and the Armys approach to Mission Command (MC) using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. MTCs support simulationsdriven collective training events for Army units at every echelon to include Joint Combined and Multinational key environments and provide individual sustainment training on Army C2IS using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These tools and systems enable MTCs to create Training Environments that replicate Operational Environments as accurately and realistically as possible to support demanding and realistic training for small units (Squad through Company) medium units (Battalion through Brigade) and large units (Echelons Above Brigade). Live Virtual Constructive and Gaming (LVCG) models and simulations create realistic and challenging training events that closely replicate conditions a unit would face on the battlefield.

You will provide support for individual through collective MC WfF training mission rehearsal the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) the Army Design Methodology (ADM) the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) Games for Training (GFT) and constructive simulations exercises. Constructive simulation training exercises includes planning preparation setup execution and recovery. These training events and exercises may occur concurrently or separately. You will assist the Government in providing constructive simulation GFT resources and adaptive and responsive training for the individual through echelons above Brigade (EAB). Our team will be capable of combining events into a simultaneous synthetic environment using the simulations and C2IS fielded to JBSA MTC.

Specific duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Conducts overall management coordination for all technical simulation gaming exercise design and administrative support.
  • Tracks the technical resources of the program and the state of the programs capacity to use the provided technology.
  • Understands the current state of fielded constructive and virtual simulations and fielded Army C2IS.
  • Tracks the fielding plans for hardware and software for constructive and virtual simulations as well as C2IS.
  • Provides stimulation to C2IS from a simulation training environment to fulfill the training objectives of JBSA MTC supported training events.
  • Reports to the JBSA MTC LVCIA in the design development delivery and maintenance of systems and tools and exercises and training events.
  • Provides strategic solutions for standardizing technology technical documentation and technical support models.
  • Manages a team of scenario developers subject matter experts (SME) and systems engineers to analyze job tasks develop new and revise existing training content and implement revised content based on changes to the system; tactics techniques and procedures; and concept of operations.
  • Attends and represents JBSA MTC in training workshops conferences exercise planning events site surveys and training events.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering science mathematics or a related field.
  • Must possess five years experience within the past 10 years in planning advanced computer system architectures planning simulation exercise architectures supervising implementation of communication systems integration of computer systems and interfaces in distributed architectures and integration of C2IS in support of distributed exercises.
  • Must possess five years experience within the past 10 years operating and maintaining infrastructures that include network engineering Linux and Windows system administration and storage engineering solutions.
  • Must possess five years experience within the past 10 years in installing configuring and troubleshooting Constructive Simulations hardware and software to stimulate C2IS.
  • Must possess five years experience within the past 10 years utilizing Army modeling and simulation concepts and tools.
  • Should meet DoD 8570.01M and DoD 8140.03 Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements at Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II).
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess a SECRET Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate understanding of technology integration and information flow including LAN/WAN firewalls security storage and backup methodologies.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the principles methods and techniques used in database development load strategy design and implementation security and change management.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with evolving technologies likely to be used in future simulation architectures.
  • Possess a TOP SECRET clearance.
