Job Description
Ensuring Charts Success
What Will You Do
- Certifications:
- Tacking
- Under direct supervision and guidance weld by arc method using stick gas or fluxshielded wire semiautomatic button or stud welding equipment
- Under direct supervision and guidance weld on carbon alloy or stainless steel plate sheet shapes castings or other parts included in fabricated steel work
- Clean welds by chipping grinding or brushing where required
- Complete up to 2 qualification tests
- Learn the Weld Map and Welding Procedure Specification requirements
- Demonstrate an understanding of the proper use of hand tools grinders and welding equipment
- Assist Welders and Fitters in cleaning moving holding clamping and preparing work pieces
- Required to work at elevated heights up to 75ft
- Addl duties and responsibilities may be assigned
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require
Your Experience Should Be...
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience as a tacker
- Requirements may be obtained through onthejob training
