Under moderate supervision provide routine clerical support for the efficient operation of the Fine Arts Departmentand professional staff.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of general office procedures
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases and do word processing
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Effective organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
One to three years clerical experience preferably in a public education environment
1. Assist students teachers and parents as needed.
2. Receive incoming calls take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff.
3. Prepare correspondence forms reports etc. for the assigned administrators.
4. Prepare Purchase Orders and maintain appropriate records for Fine Arts Dept.
5. Make appointments and maintain Band and Fine Arts Calendar.
6. Organize and manage the routine work activities in the Fine Arts Department.
7. Reserve all district facilities using the Property Use System and Property Use Coordinator.
8. Serve as bookkeeper for the Fine Arts Department. Handle accounts; collect fees and transfer funds to Central Business Office.
9. Oversee ticket sales for all school events including setting up cash box for events.
10. Schedule travel and prepare Travel Orders.
11. Manage multiple ongoing tasks.
11. Keep informed of and comply with state district and school policies and regulations concerning primary job functions.
12. Demonstrate behavior this is professional ethical responsible and serve as a role model for all district staff and students.
13. Ensure confidentiality of information.
14. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
