The Content and Design Specialist will collaborate with the Center for Intensive Behavioral Supports (CIBS) professional learning design and development teams to create innovative and interactive elearning modules to meet training and resource requirements for the grant program. The Content and Design Developer will utilize adult learning theory and the latest instructional design methods to build highquality impactful unique engaging and relevant professional learning.
On August 13 2021 Governor Pritzker signed House Bill 219 (HB 219) into law as Public Actwhich amended the Illinois School Code regarding the use of isolated time out time out and physical restraint interventions in public schools special education cooperatives and special education nonpublic facilities. Public Actresulted in the ISBE establishing a training and resource development goal. CIBS was funded to develop and disseminate the work outlined in the identified goals.
CIBS will: 1) develop an annual training focusing on crisis deescalation restorative practices identifying signs of distress during physical restraint and time out traumainformed practices and behavior management practices; and 2) create an alternative to time out and restraint resource tool for educators.

2. Bachelors degree in graphic design instructional design or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience such as 5 7 years of hands on experience in graphic design instructional design or related work
3. Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (especially Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro) including portfolios or work samples
4. Documented expertise in instructional design software and tools such as Canva H5P Articulate Storyline Venngage Envato Powtoons or similar platforms
5. Proven ability to design develop and maintain eLearning content
6. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems experience with TalentLMS is preferred
7. Strong visual design and creative skills with an eye for aesthetics interactivity and engagement
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fastpaced team environment
9. Understanding of adult learning principles and a passion for creating learnercentered materials
10. Excellent communication collaboration and problemsolving skills
11. Strong attention to detail and commitment to highquality content
