Job Title: Coordinator of Recruitment and Employee Relations
Location: Chester County School District
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources
Position Type: FullTime Exempt
Salary: Administrative Salary Schedule / 235 Days
Group 4 ($59633 $123143)
Position Overview: The Coordinator of Recruitment and Employee Relations plays a pivotal role in supporting the recruitment hiring and employee relations functions within the school district. This individual will work closely with the Human Resources team to ensure that the district attracts retains and supports a highly qualified workforce. The coordinator will help build positive relationships between employees and management ensuring a productive supportive and compliant working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
Manage the full recruitment process for teaching administrative and support staff positions within the district.
Develop and implement strategies to attract diverse and highly qualified candidates including outreach to local colleges job fairs and online platforms.
Serves as liaison for Teacher Cadet Program and ProTeam within schools.
Screen resumes conduct initial interviews and coordinate with department heads to select candidates.
Ensure compliance with district policies and state/federal regulations during the recruitment process.
Maintain accurate and uptodate recruitment records in the applicant tracking system.
Assist in developing and implementing strategies to retain top talent within the district.
Employee Relations:
Act as a liaison between employees and management addressing concerns resolving conflicts and fostering positive working relationships.
Assist in the administration of employee performance evaluation processes providing guidance to supervisors and employees as needed.
Collaborate with the HR team to implement employee engagement initiatives and ensure a positive work environment.
Support district initiatives related to employee wellness recognition programs and worklife balance.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records including recruitment documentation and employee relations cases.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to recruitment and employee relations metrics for district leadership.
Remains current on employment law and HR best practices to ensure the district remains compliant and effective in managing human resources.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
Education: Educational Administration Certification. (Masters degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in education Human Resources or employee relations preferably within a school district or public sector environment.
Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal labor laws employee relations practices and recruitment strategies.
Skills:
o Excellent communication interpersonal and conflictresolution skills.
o Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
o Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
o Proficiency in HR software and applicant tracking systems.
o Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
Occasional travel to recruitment events schools and other district facilities.
Work Environment:
Primarily officebased within the districts central administration office.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for recruitment events or employee relations matters. Travel
required.
