Job Description:

As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission solutions for the United States Space Force L3Harris is looking for a candidate to develop and maintain space Command and Control (C2) systems. L3Harris is seeking professionals to work in a dynamic environment to solve challenging technical problems. Individuals will perform C2 system software development design implementation test and configuration management. The ideal candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle. This position is onsite located in Colorado Springs CO and requires a Secret Security Clearance.

Essential Functions:

• Working under general oversight provide solutions with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
• Design develop and test software applications for largescale operational systems.
• Responsible for providing guidance coaching and training to other employees within job area.
• May manage large projects or processes that are both inside and outside of immediate job area.
• Work consists of making moderate to substantial improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area.
• Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization.
• Up to 10% travel may be required including international travel.
• Ability to obtain U.S. DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires US Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain Security certification in less than 60 days.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and minimum 6 years of software experience. Graduate Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of software experience. In lieu of degree 10 years of software experience.
• Active U.S. DoD Secret or Top Secret Security clearance.
• Experience developing software in Java.
• Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Experience with Cloud Native Technologies (microservices containers Docker Kubernetes DevOps etc.)
• Experience developing and deploying software using a CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience with Agile software development and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience utilizing team collaboration tools (Confluence Jira GitLab).

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Active U.S. DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
• Active Security certification.
• Experience developing software in Java using Spring Boot framework.
• Experience developing software in C/C or Python.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Understanding of SDA mission data sets.
• Working knowledge of Wildfly (JBoss) application server.
• Experience with Apache NiFi and how to configure NiFi flows.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• Excellent people skills with experience leading and collaborating in a multidisciplinary diverse and dynamic team environment.
• Excellent communication skills (written verbal & presentation).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Colorado is $95000 $177000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
