Job Description

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate masters level Social Work or Therapy Intern to join our Counseling Services team. This is a paid internship opportunity for graduate students looking to gain handson clinical experience in a supportive college environment. Interns will work directly with a diverse student population and receive supervision from licensed mental health and/or social work professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing shortterm individual therapy sessions to students under supervision
  • Cofacilitate and lead psychoeducational groups on topics such as stress management anxiety academic motivation and emotional regulation
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to inform treatment planning
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards
  • Collaborate with campus partners and refer students to appropriate resources
  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision sessions

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a masters program in Social Work Counseling or a related field
  • Eligible for internship placement through your academic institution
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with or interest in working with college students preferred

Schedule:
Flexible scheduling isavailable including daytime evening and limited weekend hours. Interns must be available for at least 1015 hours per week. Session times can be coordinated to accommodate both intern availability and student client needs including outside of typical school business hours.
