Job Description

Job Title:Assoc. Manager Operations

Job Code: 23866

Job Location: Camden AR

Job Schedule:4/10 Work Schedule:Employees work 10 hours per day 4 days a week

Job Description:

The Operations Manager directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals quality and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction equipment efficiency and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor and is responsible for managing two or more of the following activities related to operations: manufacturing production planning manufacturing engineering test quality or shipping/receiving/stores. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides direction to subordinate supervisors/assemblers based on general policies and management guidelines.

  • Interprets and executes policies that typically affect subordinate organizational work programs for shift operations.

  • Plans and coordinates integrated schedules for personnel material and facilities utilization.

  • Provides assistance to subordinates in meeting schedules.

  • Responsible for assigned department budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with a minimum 6 years prior manufacturing experience.

  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior manufacturing experience.

  • In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related manufacturing experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in implementation of a manufacturing process improvement activity is desired.

  • Demonstrated performance in factory operations including a thorough knowledge of scheduling planning forecasting performance measurements.

  • Strongverbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead effectively in a challenging team environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to plan organize coordinate direct and control the activities of the assigned organization.

  • Willingness to be available to supervise occasional overtime work as deemed necessary by company commitment to schedule.

  • Willingness to assist in additional job duties as assigned by Management is vital.
