Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
As a strategic member on our Enterprise Product Advanced Advertising team you will have the following key responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Insights: Conduct indepth data analysis to derive actionable insights identify trends and uncover opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
- Data Architecture Design: Develop audit and maintain an efficient scalable and secure data architecture that optimally handles data ingestion storage processing and retrieval
- Data Strategy Development: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define data strategies that align with business objectives and product roadmaps. Identify datarelated opportunities and challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Data Product Development: Lead the engineering team in building robust data products and solutions that empower the organization to extract meaningful insights and make datadriven decisions.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize data architecture and processes to enhance system performance reduce latency and optimize cost.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Foster a collaborative work environment providing mentorship and guidance to the data product team encouraging innovation and product quality.
- Technology Evaluation: Keep abreast of the latest datarelated technologies tools and frameworks evaluating their potential integration into the companys data ecosystem.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Qualifications & Requirements
To excel in this role you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field preferred or equivalent related work experience
- 5 years working as a Product Owner or in a similar datafocused role.
- 3 years of demonstrated analytical ability to utilize data to drive decisionmaking and inform product strategies.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to think strategically while handling multiple projects concurrently.
- Solid understanding of data management principles including data modeling data warehousing ETL processes and data governance.
- Proficiency in data querying languages (SQL) and experience with programming languages like Python Java or Scala
- Strong expertise in data visualization tools and techniques to present complex data insights to various stakeholders.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative crossfunctional environment.
- A passion for media and entertainment is a plus.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in the consumerfacing industry understanding consumer behavior and leveraging data for advertising strategies.
- Experience with data activation and monetization strategies leveraging data assets to drive revenue and business growth.
- Familiarity with data tools and technologies such as data warehouses data lakes ETL processes and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in data products.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g. VPPA CCPA) and experience implementing security measures for data protection.
Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a nonNBCUniversal worksite most commonly an employees residence.
