The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
Role Overview:
The Senior System Administrator is responsible for the installation configuration and maintenance of both Windows and Linux operating systems. The role requires advanced expertise in managing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environments and the administration of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) automation. The Senior System Administrator will work closely with various IT teams to ensure the stability integrity and efficient operation of information systems that support core organizational functions.
This job requires onsite support in McKinney TX or Tucson AZ. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
What You Will Do:
- Support a highly virtualized platform with both Linux and Window OS.
- Support of IaaS and PaaS environments.
- Maintain CDS systems in accordance with security requirements system lifecycles and standard architectures.
- Support CDS services within assigned technology discipline across all security domains and IT environments as required.
- Provide timely and effective customer support for service requests and incidents.
- Support the transition and release of newly developed CDS services.
Expectations of the role:
- Work collaboratively across CDS Infrastructure services teams to provide seamless and efficient operations/support of CDS services.
- Engage in continuous improvement and service maturity initiatives led by the Service Management and Business Management teams.
- Maintain required professional certifications (e.g. Security CISSP) required to maintain system access and satisfy relevant compliance requirements.
- Engage in continuous learning to maintain relevant knowledge skills and abilities required to support modern technologies in assigned work area.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 8 years of experience or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 5 years experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Top Secret Security Clearance
