This is a great job for someone for a qualified actuary or accountant with reporting experience. Someone with project experience and a keen interest in Transformation would be ideal for the role.
A bit about the job:
The Process Excellence (PX) workstream is part of the Insurance Wealth and Retirement (IWR) Finance Vision. We plan to transform IWR Finance through the use of coding tools (R and Python) and Unify (an automation tool from WTW). We need a Solution Lead to manage the delivery of the project for the next year.
The team is being formed as part of the IWR Vision being delivered in 2025 and 2026. It is an exciting change to the way we work in IWR Finance and this role would be at the forefront. The position is 12 months through to mid 2026.
Whilst the role is based in York or Bristol where the majority of the onshore teams are based we are open to all working patterns and arrangements including jobshares please get in touch if you would like to discuss this in more detail.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the team day to day and manage team members across the UK in Poland and in India.
Be an active member of the wider IWR community to get people excited about the transformation.
Collaborate closely with BAU teams to develop a clear roadmap of processes to transform removing effort and reducing the time taken to perform key tasks.
Embedding change initiatives ensuring solutions are fully documented tested and business readiness criteria are met.
Make sure that the priorities of the business are delivered through the project against key metrics.
Skills and experience were looking for:
Qualified Actuary or Accountant or equivalent level of experience
Experience in Finance would be a benefit or evidence of dealing with similar processes
An interest in using technology in finance essential. Coding skills (any language) and experience of controlled development environments helpful but definitely not essential.
Agile experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Circa salary 90000 (depending on location skills experience and qualifications)
