The Sustainability Information Analyst post role supports data intelligence. The role is based in the Climate Change and Zero Waste Team. This role will also be closely working with Planning Services Policy & Place Team (development plan and planning policy) as well as across all of Planning Services.
This is an exciting time with major plans and projects being developed. Underpinning this will be how we can make best use of spatial Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and nonspatial data. The post will undertake and disseminate sustainability spatial and nonspatial information research and analysis in relation to:
The role will involve: coordinating managing modelling monitoring commissioning and disseminating spatial and nonspatial research information and analysis in relation to sustainability (environmental economic and social). Work covers: energy buildings and land use information to inform policy work within the Planning Service and wider Council.
With the many partners involved the role will include developing and maintaining information management systems including storage access and data protection to support analysis sharing and communication of information.

The Person
We are looking for an enthusiastic and selfmotivated individual with a positive attitude to partnership working; applicants must be able to demonstrate a level of competence and knowledge of managing projects.
You will bring experience of a high level analysis of key statistical information knowledge of IT systems relating to database/spatial data management including Geographical Information Systems (GIS) critical thinking solution development and undertaking research and practical use and interpretation of data.
We are looking for someone who can manage the strong expectations of this role and deliver complex projects including assessment and reporting.
