About the role

This position is responsible for

  • managing Microsoft 365 environments including CoPilot Purview Exchange InTune SharePoint and EntraID. These areas are responsible for data security classification.
  • Operational functions in Azure specifically IaaS and PaaS consumption and focusing on working with service provider partners to optimize the cost of our Azure estate

On a daily basis you will:

  • M365 Platform related engineering work (mainly focused on Microsoft Roadmaps Provisioning lifecycle management M365 license assignment service delivery and management incident/problem triage of managed services)
  • Manage Councils growing Azure Cloud presence with the assistance of Councils professional service partners to ensure Council is continually automating and optimizing its environment.
  • Administering Power Platform (any of the following: Power Automate Power BI Power Apps).
  • Working with the Technical Operations Team and other ICT Teams to test implement and transition new services or upgrades to existing core foundational services in the M365 space.
  • Support for the various existing services such as end user Mailbox provisioning M365 identity integration environment management Azure AD Group Based licensing Microsoft 365 Groups.
  • Provide input and recommendations on areas of service improvement both from a technical point of view but also from a process perspective.

About You
The successful candidate should have previous experiencein Microsoft Windowscentric systems administration including Exchange and Active Directory as well as the Microsoft 365based equivalent services along with data protection (backup/recovery) and infrastructure operations skills.

You will also bring:

  • At least 5 years practical systems administration skills in Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 3651
  • Demonstrable experience in data protection technologies
  • An understanding of information classification and protection principles
  • Practical skills in security administration in Microsoft 365.
  • Achieved Microsoft AZ900 or comparable certification
  • Design and documentation skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills

Whats on offer
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $125996 to $138699 plus 11.5% superannuation.
