Job Description

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for our Vessel Traffic Services Operator positions. Successful applicants will be interviewed and invited to undertake further employment screening and join a talent pool to be contacted when a position arises.

This is a great opportunity to be part of the worlds largest bulk export port authority encompassing the operating ports of Ashburton Dampier Port Hedland and Varanus Island and five future port sites. You will be responsible for delivery of Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) accredited Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) to ensure the safe efficient and compliant movement of vessels whilst maintaining a high level of situational awareness within the Port of Dampier Ashburton Varanus Island and future ports.

The VTSO is responsible to ensure the safe and efficient management of shipping related activities as detailed in the relevant manuals and operating procedures. The VTS Centre operates on a 24/7 basis.

About You
