The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is seeking applicants for anIT Security Compliance Specialist II (Working Title: IT Security Compliance Specialist) for ourOffice of Cybersecurity and Risk Management.
The Office of Digital Learning and Technology Services provides leadership of IT and digital learning initiatives. Included in this Office are the divisions of Digital Teaching and Learning Enterprise Architecture Desktop Support Shared Services Project Management IT Systems Modernization Facilitation of the NC Textbook Commission and facilitation of the Contracts under the purview of the commission and the ReThink K12 grant.
The IT Security and Compliance Specialist II ensures the security of IT systems and compliance of data security policies.

Bachelors degree in computer science or a related IT field or related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of progressive experience in IT Security or closely related area; or Associate degree in computer science or a related IT field or related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressive experience in IT Security or closely related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
