Mount Abraham Unified School District is seeking a licensed special educator to join the districts Student Support Services team and oversee the 78 Wellness and Learning Commons (WLC) which is designed to help students stabilize learn and practice essential skills in a smaller classroom environment. Students can successfully reintegrate into their regular classrooms as they develop new competencies. The Wellness Learning Commons will support students who exhibit challenges participating in 78 classrooms due to trauma or social/emotional is amongst a continuum of support and an intensive SEL service not a placement provided through a ideal candidate has experience working in inclusive settings supporting students with disabilities designing and implementing evidencedbased interventions and monitoring individual student growth. Knowledge and experience are needed in all facets of a special educators role (e.g. evidence based interventions in literacy and mathematics intensive academic and social emotional systems of support postsecondary transition planning collaborative teaming coteaching and collaboration with families and interagency providers).
