Fastpaced stable manufacturer is seeking a selfdirected Accountant to report to the Controller and handle daytoday accounting functions in a manufacturing environment. Daily will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Process accounts payables including invoice and payment request handling threeway matching approvals vendor communication check runs and electronic payments (ACH/wires).
- Manage accounts receivable functions such as invoice and credit memo generation payment processing and posting collections customer communication and credit application handling.
- Perform general accounting tasks including monthend journal entries and reconciliations assisting with monthend close fixed asset management financial report preparation standard cost maintenance inventory support audit assistance and tax filings.
Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels be selfmotivated thorough detail oriented be able to handle multiple tasks and take initiative on projects. Candidates need to be comfortable working in blue collar environments. This position is heavy 10key data entry oriented. Medical benefits are available day one of employment. Other benefits include bonus potential HSA contribution paid holidays PTO and 401K match.REQUIREMENTS for the Accountant:1. Minimum of a high school diploma; post education is preferred2. General understanding of accounting principles including credits and debits
3. Experience with 10key data entry
4. Microsoft Office including good Excel skills
Skills preferred but NOT required:1. Manufacturing experience
2. ERP experience
3. A/P and/or A/R experience
4. Monthly closing or inventory experience
