Job Description
Fulton Alley is seeking a friendly professional and observant Door Greeter / Security Host to be the welcoming face of our establishment. This position blends safety and security with a high level of hospitality. Youll be the first point of contact for guests responsible for creating a warm respectful and safe environment while upholding venue policies verifying guest eligibility and maintaining appearance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hospitality & Guest Interaction
- Greet all guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere and offer assistance as needed.
- Deescalate situations calmly and courteously always prioritizing guest experience and safety.
- Security & Compliance
- Check IDs to ensure all guests meet minimum age requirements.
- Conduct bag checks as needed in accordance with venue policy.
- Enforce and uphold venue dress code standards with tact and professionalism.
- Monitor the entrance area to prevent unauthorized access and ensure guest flow is orderly.
- Be knowledgeable of and enforce all venue rules and policies including capacity limits intoxication guidelines and behavior expectations.
- Communication & Teamwork
- Maintain open communication with management bar staff and other security team members regarding incidents or concerns.
- Help document any security incidents or guest concerns accurately and promptly.
- Attend briefings and stay informed on nightly events promotions and any specific protocols.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in hospitality nightlife or security preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage conflict with discretion and empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work nights weekends and holidays as needed.
- Security or responsible vendor certification a plus (depending on local requirements).
