Job Description

Position Description

Serco is seeking a Staff Military Trainer Senior Training Advisor to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) in McLean VA. This critical role provides seniorlevel guidance mentorship and strategic input to optimize ARNG collective training events ensuring alignment with U.S. Army operational standards and leadership expectations.

This position is contingent upon contract award budget and customer approval.

In this role you will:

  • Advise the Task Order Manager on training strategies solutions and strategic messaging.
  • Support ARNG collective training events and exercises directly.
  • Serve as a Senior Subject Matter Expert to Division and Brigade Commanders on leadership operations and mission command training.
  • Assist Site Managers Observer/Controller teams and Exercise Directors in preparing and executing largescale collective training events.
  • Contribute to meetings and workshops that shape MCTSP training strategy and best practices.
  • Serve in higher command roles or as a deputy exercise director during training exercises.

Qualifications

Qualifications

One of the following education and experience combinations:

  • Bachelors degree with at least 15 years of military or professional leadership experience; or
  • Masters degree with at least 13 years of military or professional leadership experience.
  • Previous service as a Division Commander with indepth leadership and training management expertise.
  • Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to work onsite in McLean Virginia.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in largescale Army training exercises.
  • Strong leadership advisory skills and operational training insight.
  • Familiarity with mission command and C2 frameworks at the Division and Brigade levels.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Combat experience and joint service staff experience.
  • Previous assignment at a Combat Training Center (CTC) as Senior Observer/Controller or Commander Operations Group.
