Cyber Data Specialist

Peraton is seeking a talented Cyber Data Specialist to support the Intelligence Community by leveraging your expertise in lifecycle data management. In this role you will work as part of a dynamic team of 10 cyber data specialists and managers providing comprehensive data management for digital media collections from customer field locations. If youre a detailoriented technically proficient individual with a passion for supporting critical national security operations this is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical resource and support the team in managing the full lifecycle of digital media datafrom receipt and triage to preparation and transmission to media exploitation tools and repositories.
• Use a variety of tools and software to process and manage media with different filesystems and operating systems ensuring seamless data transfer and analysis.
• Follow both automated and manual technical processes to ensure every byte of information is captured and exploited for use in downstream tools.
• Collaborate closely with team members bringing innovation to improve manual processes and streamline workflows.
• If you have the drive and aptitude opportunities to crosstrain with the digital feeds and digital transformation teams are available.

Required:

• 5 years of experience with a BS Degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Science Business Administration or a related technology field; or 3 years of relevant experience with an MS Degree; 5 years of additional experience performing lifecycle data management work may be substituted in lieu of a degree for a total of 10 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Experience working in the intelligence community with a proven track record in lifecycle data management or a similar field.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to engage effectively with colleagues of varying technical expertise.
• Must have an active TS/SCI with relevant polygraph.

Desired:

• Technical Expertise: Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell to automate and improve processes.
• Operating Systems: Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Tools & Software: Familiarity with FTK (Forensic Toolkit) or similar media exploitation tools.
• Innovation: Proven ability to identify and implement solutions that improve existing manual processes.
