Presbyterian is hiring a charge RN for our Cardiac Vascular Unit. On our unit we believe in going above and beyond to provide exceptional patient care this can be seen by our low metrics. Our 22 bed unit is committed to the health of our patients. We are looking for nurses who display attention to detail and demonstrate Cardiac and Vascular knowledge. This progressive care unit is a stepdown unit in the Heart and Vascular program dedicated to the special care required for patients who are recovering from vascular/cardiac surgeries and are working towards specializing. We are a Telemetry acuity unit committed to the health of not only our patients but the wellbeing of our staff.
The Charge RN will under the direction of the Nursing Director work with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow exceptional care experiences quality processes patient safety and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May provide direct patient care.

Education:
*Minimum Associate Degree
*Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred
Education specialization:
* Nursing
Credentials:
* Registered NurseNM
*State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License Academic Preparation:
BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
*Additional Requirements based upon area of service
*CDS Inpatient
*Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS
*Emergency Departments: ACLS PALS
*Pediatrics / PICU: PALS
*Newborn Nursery / MotherBaby Care / NICU: NRP
*Family Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring; permanent charge requires ACLS in addition to others
*Preop / Operating Room / PACU: ACLS PALS
*Oncology Chemotherapy certification
