Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a W/WW Project Construction Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our Water Business Line Construction Management team out of our Riverside CA Area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a selfmotivated individual to join our team locally with support from one of the bestqualified municipal consulting firms in the country. The Construction Inspector with the support of a strong nationally recognized technical staff will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of construction inspection construction field management QA / QC and report documentation on various construction and/or reconstruction projects for municipal water and wastewater treatment power generation manufacturing facilities or other heavy construction projects. CM will report to and/or Project Manager and providing regular updates on daily construction activities for their area of oversight.

Role accountabilities:

  • Observes and inspects construction work performed by contractors performs punch list inspections reviews drawings and specifications and other technical documents prepares detailed daily activity and progress reports and participates in project schedule and contractor invoice reviews.
  • Maintains quality assurance requirements and approaches and monitors code compliance issues.
  • Inspect and determine deviations from general compliance with Contract Documents; clearly and professionally inform the contractor of required corrections.
  • Regularly attends and participate in construction meetings safety meetings/updates and project site coordination meetings and reviews submittals and other construction documents and recommends technical solutions.
  • Monitors and documents contractor resource utilization (labor materials and equipment) for field changes and time and material work and assist with negotiation of basic field construction changes.
  • Verify equipment and materials installation for payment purposes and maintains Payment Quantity documentation.
  • Perform mathematical calculations as necessary during inspection activities. and perform daily general site inspections ensure Arcadis project safety guidelines are being met and coordinate special / material testing inspections.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of civil/utility field construction experience.
  • Experience with civil construction inspection activities on small to larger sized Heavy Civil construction projects including micro tunning and open cut pipeline installation .

Key Skills and Attributes

The position requires strong oral and written communication skills along with a demonstrated ability to analyze and organize large volumes of data effectively. Candidates should possess proven skills in identifying analyzing and developing innovative solutions to complex problems supported by a high level of mathematical aptitude. The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and demonstrate solid time management skills is essential. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook is also required. Additionally the role demands the ability to work yearround in various weather conditions potentially hazardous environments and flexible shift hours. Employees must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds as part of their duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
  • General Contractor experience
  • OSHA 10 Safety and Confined Space Entry Training.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
