Description
The Assistant Director of the Donelan Office supports the programming of the Donelan Office within the J.D. Power Center for Liberal Arts in the World. In conjunction with Donelan Office staff the Assistant Director develops and maintains community partnerships manages communitybased learning placements assists with facilitating the NonProfit Careers Conference supervises the CBL Interns advises Marshall Memorial Fund applicants and collaborates with other oncampus community engagement programs including SPUD and community service workstudy.
Major Areas of Responsibility
With the Director of the Donelan Office coordinate CBL placement options for CBL placementbased courses including visits to CBL classes and a CBL orientation at the beginning of each semester
Selection and leadership of CBL Interns
With J.D. Power Center and Donelan Office colleagues develop and implement student programming around reflection vocational discernment leadership development for all J.D. Power Center students including Power Talks CBL Reflections NonProfit Careers Conference possible retreats or reflection days at the Contemplative Center; focus on Ignatian spirituality where possible in these opportunities.
Assist in managing community partner communications (with input from the Director of the Donelan Office and in collaboration with Associate Director)
Conduct site visits of community partners for placementbased partners
Advise CBL placementbased students in selecting community partners
Collaborate with other community engagement programs including SPUD and community service workstudy
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of the J.D. Power Center on Communications (Social Media Newsletter); consult Associate Director and Director to update website social media campaigns Ignite and community outreach at HC and in Worcester
Offer advising support to students applying for Marshall and Ignite Funds
Support the Assistant Director of the J.D. Power Center with transportation logistics for placementbased students
Assist Director with assessment for placementbased courses and CBL Intern Program
Other duties as assigned; must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
Reports to the Director of the Donelan Office of CommunityBased Learning Teaching and Scholarship
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
12 years of professional experience in service learning community engagement community partnerships and/or a relevant field
Understanding of and commitment to the mission of Jesuit higher education and the role of communitybased learning and engaged scholarship in contributing to that mission
Strong oral written and interpersonal communication skills
An ability to remain organized and follow through with details while balancing multiple projects
Sound judgment and problemsolving skills
A sense of curiosity and interest in learning about a wide variety of academic disciplines and social service agencies
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Understanding and valuing diversity while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment
Competence with Microsoft Office and Google Apps (Gmail Google Drive Google Sites); a willingness to learn other software and technology as needed

This is a full time exempt level position. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees. The salary range for this position is $52000 $58000. The College also offers a competitive benefits package for fulltime staff including:
