Job Description
The primary responsibility of the nurse is to provide health services to students when they are in school.
In this role you will treat students and staff with multiple medical needs (to include injuries acute and chronic illnesses) during the school day and throughout the year.
Required for this role are excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate with children their parents or guardians and teachers.
Responsibilities include:
Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or illness
Dispense medication as prescribed
Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
Maintain student health records (including vaccination records) in accordance with the Health Department of Maryland and the Catholic Schools Office.
Educate students on healthy habits such as proper nutrition and hygiene
Distribute health information to the school community as needed.
