DescriptionChubb is currently seeking a Commercial Lines Life Sciences Renewal Underwriter to join our industry leading Life Sciences practice in the Pacific South Region.
Main responsibilities include:
- Underwrite and negotiate renewals and endorsements with a total Commercial portfolio premium of approximately 65 customers.
- Lines of business Include Property General Liability Automobile WC and Umbrella policies with account premiums between $50000 to $250000.
- Achieve favorable rate and retention.
- Manage account rounding and cross selling goals.
- Servicing accounts based on Chubb guidelines.
- Develop strong relationships with independent agents and brokers to successfully manage our business.
QualificationsSkills and Competencies:
- Candidate must have proven ability to successfully negotiate and develop producer relationships.
- A strong track record of service orientation is required.
- Knowledge of marketing principles underwriting and pricing strategies.
- Solid background in risk analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and cohesively in a team environment in conjunction with service staff loss control field marketing underwriters and branch employees.
- Knowledge of emerging hazards trends and concepts preferred.
- Ability to coach and develop others via peertopeer development.
- Strong multiline underwriting background.
- Deep analytical skills supported by interpersonal effectiveness in understanding the needs of the customer and matching those needs to Chubb solutions.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- One to two years of multiline underwriting experience is preferred
The pay range for the role is $91200 to $155000. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors.
