Position Description
Serco is seeking an experienced SCA Supply Technician 1 to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Camp Dodge in Johnston Iowa. This role ensures the effective management and accountability of governmentfurnished equipment and supplies in support of Mission Training Complex (MTC) operations. This position is contingent upon contract award budget and customer approval.
In this role you will:
- Perform technical supply management duties including inventory management cataloging storage management and property utilization.
- Catalog and track inventory using barcode scanning systems.
- Ensure all governmentfurnished equipment is properly accounted for and handreceipted at the enduser level.
- Assist with procurement of expendable and durable supplies.
- Coordinate with the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) for vehicle requirements.
- Support the Facilities Manager with maintenance repairs and submission of work/service orders.
- Allocate tasks and manage priorities based on commodity area or operational function.
- Review and interpret program requirements and adapt to specific variances from standardized guidelines.
- Support additional logistical tasks and operational support as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 10 years of experience in U.S. Army Supply and Property Book procedures; or
- Bachelors degree with 6 years of related experience; or
- Masters degree with 4 years of related experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Strong analytical skills for problem definition data collection and interpretation of logistics guidelines.
- Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work onsite at Camp Dodge in Johnston Iowa.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Detailed knowledge of Army supply regulations procedures and handreceipt accountability.
- Effective time management and organizational skills for managing supply and property tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for coordinating logistics functions.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- At least 20 years of experience in Army Supply and Property Book procedures.
