Job Description
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant supports a safe clean and comfortable environment for residents by performing routine maintenance and repairs. This role plays an important part in resident care by ensuring the facility is wellmaintained and treating residents with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic repairs (plumbing electrical HVAC etc.)
Complete regular maintenance and safety checks
Respond quickly to maintenance requests
Maintain clean safe work areas and equipment
Assist with room setups and facility changes
Interact respectfully with residents and support their wellbeing through quality work
Follow all safety and emergency procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Maintenance or handyman experience preferred
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Respectful courteous attitude toward residents and staff
Must pass background and health screenings
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform handson work
