Job Description

At Maryhurst our residential programs communitybased homes and our outpatient clinical programs all work to serve children in the greatest need. Our residential programs break the cycle of abuse using treatments that restore hope and successfully transition children to more permanent community or familybased settings. Maryhursts community and transitional living programs offer tools that prepare survivors of abuse and neglect for better more hopefilled futures. And lastly the team at Maryhurst Renewal partners with children adults and families who are hurting to find the right combination of support ultimately clearing barriers to success at home at school and in the community. Renewal provides oneonone group and family counseling in office home or schoolbased settings.


The Shift Supervisor is responsible to provide active leadership for coworkers and assisting the Program Supervisors in the overall operation of the dorm and campus. The Shift Supervisor is responsible to provide a therapeutic milieu within the program setting. The Shift Supervisor supervises the activities of clients/staff and works as part of a team to maintain a safe and secure environment for all clients/staff that promotes growth and development. The Shift Supervisor is assigned specific clients with whom they will act as a mentor regarding creating and maintaining treatment plans and will advocate for those youth. The Shift Supervisor communicates effectively with team members to assure that clients needs are met. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for providing direct feedback to coworkers and will communicate effectively with the Program Supervisor.


ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 6 months prior experience in working with adolescents is required.
  • The applicant must have the following abilities: to work as a team member perform basic writing communication and computer skills function as a group leader and role model in relation to troubled youth and respond appropriately to the emotional and physical needs of adolescents within a structured group setting.
