Position Summary
Processes member transactions such as posting deposits withdrawals and loan payments. Accountable for daily balancing of a cash drawer. Performs efficient and accurate service to members including opening new accounts and closing accounts account maintenance. Answers questions from and provides information upon request to members and assists them in understanding and utilizing the credit union products and services. Proactively looks for referral opportunities to enhance relationships by matching Credit Union products and services to members needs.

Transactional Duties
Accurately promptly and efficiently perform routine member transactions including deposits withdrawals cash advances transfers loan payments and inquiries.
Maintain a cash drawer and ensure that funds are handled accurately so that shortages and overages are minimized.
Prepare transactional paperwork such as stop payment orders and logs. legibly accurately and neatly.
Member Service & Sales Duties
Provide friendly professional personal and confidential service to all members and fellow team members.
Accurately promptly and efficiently open and close members accounts and perform maintenance on member accounts.
Interview consumer loan applicants and provide information on consumer loan products that best meet the members needs. Obtain all required information and documentation to secure a loan. Develops loan applications to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
Close loans ensuring that all forms and documents are gathered/signed and member understands debt responsibilities.
Cross sell credit union deposit and loan products
Identify and resolve member problems exercising sound judgment.
Educate members on our products and services.
Operational Duties
Assist in daily operational duties including maintenance and balancing the ATM balancing the vaults opening and closing the branch Check 21 processing and scanning processing mail and drop box deposits and other duties as required.
Be the other half of dual control making sure it is not jeopardized.
Maintain a working environment that allows branch to receive perfect audits.
Place check orders issue counter checks issue and PIN ATM and Debit Cards.
Help ensure the teller area and the lobby look professional.
Miscellaneous
Comply with all department and credit union policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience:
3 years of customer service experience.
1 year of cash handling experience
Experience working in a financial institution (preferred).
Specific Skills:
Ability to communicate courteously and professionally
Customer satisfactionoriented
Strong communication and time management skills
Able to perform basic financial math
Able to write a basic business letter
Strong attention to details
Work as a team player
Moderate PC proficiency
Bilingual/Spanish/Creole/Russian a plus
Ability to type 30 wpm
