Hours:
MondaySunday: 7:00 AM12:00 PM and 6:00 PM9:00 PM
(Schedule may vary based on boarding volume.)

**Requires holiday weekend day and evening shift availability.
**The hospitals kennel operates 7 days a week 365 days a year and does not close due to inclement weather.
Compensation: $1213/hr
Best Friends Animal Hospital is seeking a reliable and compassionate parttime Kennel Attendant to join our team this summer! We are committed to providing the best in veterinary medicine and customer service and we take pride in our supportive teamoriented environment.

A day in the life as a kennel attendant
The purpose of this position is to provide for the daily care of boarding and daycare pets. This includes feeding watering cleaning walking bathing medicating and monitoring the wellbeing of dogs cats and occasionally other companion animals. This position requires a love of animals and the ability to warmly welcome clients and compassionately care for their pets. Kennel team members are also responsible for the cleaning of the clinic. This includes laundry dusting sweeping mopping washing dishes and other tasks.

- Daily documentation of tasks (appetite bathroom habits etc.)
- Checkin and out boarding clients and patients
- Verify vaccines.
- Maintain a clean kennel environment.
- Walking pets/ taking outside
- Accurately label pets and their belongings
- Administer food and medications to pets.
- Accurately communicating and document any problems or concerns such as illnesses or injury
- Communicate with clients updates on pets.
- Cleaning of hospital grounds (interior and exterior)
- Cleaning maintaining a safe and clean area for the hospital
