The fundamental reason for thisclassification is to provide technical expertise operational leadership andstrategic guidance across the Citys financial operations supporting the ChiefFinancial Officer (CFO) in the daily operations of managing FinanceProcurement Risk Management Grants and Information Systems. The Deputy CFOensures the integrity of financial processes compliance with financialregulations and efficient resource allocation. This position requires a strongfoundation in governmental accounting budgeting financial analysis debtmanagement and compliance. The Deputy CFOs work responsibilities include overseeingspecial and capital projects grants complex financial activities related to bondand debt service implementing best practices and assisting with the Citysfinancial stability. This classification reports to the Chief FinancialOfficer.
Bachelorsdegree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field andeight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in financialmanagement including at least four (4) years in a senior leadership ormanagerial role preferably within a governmental or public sector environmentwith broad expertise across multiple financial functions including budgetingprocurement debt management grants and financial reporting demonstratingthe ability to oversee and integrate these areas effectively. Strong consideration will be given to applicants with a mastersdegree Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation Certified Public FinanceOfficer (CPFO) certification and/or municipal finance experience.
NOTE:Qualifying education training and experience that provide therequisite knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job will beconsidered.
