The ideal candidate will be welcoming dependable and organized and possess strong communication and computer skills. This role supports the daytoday administrative operations of the parish office and assists as a first point of contact for parishioners and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Answer phones take messages and direct calls as appropriate
Perform general clerical duties including filing data entry photocopying and mail distribution
Maintain parish records and update databases as needed
Assist with preparing weekly bulletins and communications
Help coordinate office calendars events and appointments
Support staff and ministry leaders with administrative tasks
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to parish needs
Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
Willingness to learn church database systems
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment
Friendly professional demeanor and a commitment to the values of the Catholic Church
Previous office or administrative experience preferred
Schedule: PartTime (approximately 1620 hours/week; flexible schedule to be determined)
Reports To: Parish Office Manager or Pastor
