Job Description
Avery Dennison is seeking a Process Technician to join our Engineering Technology group in Azusa CA. The Engineering Technology group is responsible for developing optimizing and implementing proprietary process technologies and equipment for our manufacturing plants worldwide. Technologies can include; manufacturing RFID devices precision coating extrusion thermal embossing drying/curing lamination and other webbased processes such as printing and label converting. This position will support project execution through all phases from concept design to scaleup to commercialization and requires close collaboration with vendors and Avery Dennison plants globally. This individual will work onsite at our Azusa CA facility Monday Friday from 8am 5pm PST.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation including performing routine checks and repairs as needed.
Operate and calibrate machining equipment such as lathes mills grinders and CNC machines with a high level of precision and safety.
Assist in building and testing prototypes by interpreting technical drawings selecting appropriate materials and ensuring accuracy during fabrication.
Support office facility maintenance by performing basic repairs coordinating with contractors and ensuring the building systems (HVAC lighting etc.) are functioning properly.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to implement process improvements test modifications and provide feedback on manufacturability.
Document maintenance procedures machine settings and test results to support continuous improvement and ensure knowledge transfer.
Monitor inventory levels of tools machine parts and prototyping materials and coordinate with purchasing to ensure necessary supplies are available.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols maintaining a clean organized and hazardfree workspace at all times.


Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of relative experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in a technical or engineeringrelated field is a strong plus.
Basic understanding of physical sciences such as mechanics physics or material science with the ability to apply principles in realworld applications.
Experience or training in 3D design software a plus (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) with the ability to interpret and modify technical drawings.
Strong handson mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate tools machines and equipment safely and effectively.
Capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment or materials (up to 50 lbs) as part of daily operations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fastpaced environment.
Detailoriented with strong problemsolving skills able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently or with a team.
Good communication and teamwork abilities with a willingness to learn and collaborate across departments including engineering maintenance and operations.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.15 $32.41 / hour.
