The Harris County Public Library (HCPL) system established in 1921 began as a collection of smalllibraries located in stores post offices and private homes. Over the years it has grown into a robustnetwork comprising 26 branch libraries two technology service centers and two partner locationsthat provide collection and circulation services. HCPL serves the communities of unincorporatedHarris County and cities without independent library systems.The Coordinator II Lead Circulation is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the circulation deskoperations to deliver effective and efficient circulation services to patrons and branch staff. Serves as a leadposition and may exercise direct or indirect supervision over lowerlevel personnel. Performs full supervisory duties but does not typically do so for a preponderance of time. Responsible for overseeing the operation ofthe library circulation desk functions providing technical assistance to staff in the performance of their duties maintaining a customer service philosophy providing extensive patron support and processing various materials.
