Job Description

At Weights & Biases our mission is to build the best tools for AI developers. We founded our company on the insight that while there were excellent tools for developers to build better code there were no similarly great tools to help ML practitioners build better models. Starting with our first experiment tracking product we have since expanded our solution into a comprehensive AI developer platform for organizations focused on building their own deep learning models and generative AI applications.

Weights & Biases is a Series C company with $250M in funding and over 200 employees. We proudly serve over 1000 customers and more than 30 foundation model builders including customers such as OpenAI NVIDIA Microsoft and Toyota.

Reporting to the Head of Federal the Federal Account Executive is a quota carrying enterprise software sales position responsible for meeting and exceeding goals through generating and closing new opportunities while increasing awareness of Weights & Biases in the Federal market. We are looking for bootstrappers that not only have an understanding of the Federal procurement process and the federal Data & AI market landscape but can articulate how AI can help agencies achieve their mission and track record of working in coordination to get deals done. This is an exciting opportunity to be on the ground floor of Weights & Biases new public sector practice.

Responsibilities:

    • Work in coordination with the Head of Federal to close existing pipeline and drive net new business opportunities for selling Weights & Biases Software to assigned accounts.
    • Develop a deep understanding of the Weights & Biases offering and use your/Public Sector experience to help craft a governmentcentric value proposition that meets mission requirements meeting regularly with prospects and clients to drive pipeline and build overall awareness of Weights & Biases among the client base.
    • Meet annual revenue objectives for your territory.
    • Build pipeline to meet and exceed your annual sales target but also have a plan for longterm focus to build a sustainable federal business.
    • Act as the tactical lead for customers and prospects Federal Systems Integrators the channel and alliance partners to find new opportunities and drive new deals to close.
    • When necessary lead the government RFI/RFP response process for assigned accounts.
    • Lead and manage opportunities through the sales cycle from identification pipeline and close and regularly report to leadership with meticulous attention to accuracy
    • Travel for client visits and presentations

Requirements:

    • 24 years of Federal Software Sales and/or Federal Business Development experience in Data and AI.
    • Track record of success closing federal deals.
    • Working knowledge of Public Sector/ procurement process
    • Gumption & Grit: You appreciate a challenge and are not afraid to roll your sleeves up and step out of your normal channels to get something done. Not my problem/job is not in your vocabulary.
    • Colloborative Builder: Understand that we are building a public sector practice to serve the mission needs of our customers.
    • Nice to have: First in seat Federal or Startup Sales experience and a rolodex
    • Nice to have: Secret Clearance
