Job Description
Performs a wide range of general maintenance repair and construction activities while maintaining and improving the park districts resources and facilities. Leads work crews assists with project planning and monitors park district grounds as assigned.
RATE OF PAY: $21.26 per hour

Completion of secondary education (high school or GED) (two years of college in the field of natural resources education or related field preferred) and two years experience in the field of natural resources/parks; or related field experience in skilled or semiskilled maintenance and repair experience or experience in construction trades and operating heavy construction equipment or equivalent. Experience with directing others assigning work orders scheduling and purchasing.
Must possess a valid Ohio drivers license and undergo a background check. May be required to obtain a pesticide applicators license and obtain a valid Ohio commercial drivers license of the appropriate class and with the appropriate endorsement(s). Lorain County Metro Park Districts policy prohibits hiring new employees who use tobacco.
