About the Role:
We are seeking a Equity Inclusion and Belonging Senior Manager to become part of a growing world class organization. We are looking for anenthusiastic forward thinking agile detail oriented and customer service driven employee to add to our great team.
This leaders work will accelerate and improve the quality of Department of Natural Resources and Parks (DNRP) efforts to become a leader in the countys efforts to operationalize equity. This manager will also lead efforts to align DNRP with King Countys commitment to become a more equitable racially diverse and inclusive. They will be integral in creating more equitable work environments and aiding the departments divisions in delivery of Equity Race and Social Justice (ERSJ) driven service to the community. The manager will plan coordinate and lead numerous multifaceted projects and programs that advance racial equity and social justice across the organization. This is an opportunity to work with leadership and staff across DNRP as well as in King County to influence the decisionmaking and understanding of the equity impacts of DNRP efforts on staff and community.
Within the Directors Office (DO) the EIB III (Equity Inclusion and Belonging) role provides leadership and supervisory support to the division EIB II managers and coordinates the Equity Race and Social Justice (ERSJ) strategic direction for the department in collaboration with Division EIB managers Human Resources and the King County Office of Equity Race and Social Justice (OERSJ). The Manager will develop and execute DNRPs first ERSJ strategic plan to operationalize departments ERSJ Policy act as the liaison between OERSJ the DO and Divisions to ensure alignment and provide strategic guidance and partnership to the DNRP division EIBs. The Manager would serve a vital coordinating function for the advancement of DNRP Equity work and equity program management.
This position performs work remotely and onsite.
About the Team:
This is a leadership position in DNRPs Directors Office working directly with DNRP leadership and Division EIB managers to advance Equity Racial and Social Justice (ERSJ) initiatives throughout the organization. Equity Inclusion and Belonging (EIB) Managers collaborate to foster a sense of belonging address barriers to inclusion and provide support for all employees. EIB Managers at DNRP drive equity initiatives across the department and with the community to create lasting change and commitment to equity racial diversity and inclusivity.
