Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The Manager Rebate Administration secondee has the primary purpose of managing the payment requirements of Pfizers various contractual agreements with our position is accountable for accurate and ontime payments to US customers consistent with the terms and conditions of our agreements as well as providing timely information and support to meet statutory compliance and production position will partner on a variety of strategic initiatives ongoing internal and external deliverables working with Leadership team members and other Pfizer functions and departments to ensure effective support for US Products across Primary Care Specialty Oncology and Injectables businesses.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assume responsibility for contracted customers and manage the payment process to meet USMA (US Market Access) objectives. Examples of these customers include PBMs Health Plans GPOs IDNs PBGs and Wholesalers. Ensure that customers adhere to the language terms and formulary requirements that are included in the Agreement in order to protect Pfizers assets.

  • Accurately process payments within the timelines stated in our agreements. Perform validation checks of data submitted from customers and contribute to the continual improvement of reimbursement methodology. Scope of account assignments include small to medium sized customers in terms of sales and membership as well as complexity of agreements and strategies.

  • Perform analysis on dispensing and purchasing trends and write detailed executive summary reports for senior management.

  • Identify and communicate issues which may impact the contracting process or the overall contracting environment and evaluate potential impact to current strategy and policy.

  • Develop and manage key customer relationships and align on common business objectives.

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing for enhancements and projects related to systems and reports used by the Rebates Team.

  • Fulfill adhoc requests for data and analysis to support business critical projects and build collaborative relationships with various internal stakeholders. Assigned project work would generally consist of medium to lowrisk projects whose impact is limited to MAO (Market Access Operations) department.

  • Provide quarterly rebate information to Managed Market Finance for accruals process.

  • Responsibilities also include working to guarantee that internal controls and SOX regulations are being met as well as analysis of account performance while maintaining a strong focus on customer support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of external stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Applicants must have a bachelors degree with 5 years of experience OR a masters degree with 3 years of experience OR PhD/PharmD OR an associate degree with 8 years of experience OR a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Possess the ability to make judgments regarding policy objectives and managed care comfortable discussing terms conditions and rebates with Account Management and customers.

  • Ability and comfort to work under constant deadlines and can appropriately prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Possess strong organization and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on time management followthrough and ability to resolve issues.

  • Be adept at virtual meetings and telephone conversations and at building relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Have ability to recognize and interpret business issues/opportunities and recommend solutions.

  • Technical skills required include proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel) and reporting tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in a managed care contracting or rebates related role.

  • Experience with ModelN applications (Flex/ECP) and/or Business Objects.
