Job Description
Fortuna is seeking a skilled Visualization & Presentation Specialist to support a digital modernization initiative for a publicsector client. This role emphasizes data visualization mobile solution development and GISbased web applications.
The position is being submitted as part of a response to a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is contingent upon contract award. If awarded the period of performance is expected to be July 2025 through June 2028.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards and interactive reports
Design mobilefriendly interfaces and applications that render visual data clearly across devices
Build and support GIS web applications that utilize shapefiles raster data and geospatial datasets
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify visual communication needs and design intuitive data displays
Optimize visuals for usability accessibility and performance across web and mobile platforms
Integrate data from multiple sources into mapping or visualization platforms for realtime analysis
Provide documentation and training for data visualization tools and systems
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate pipelines that feed realtime and static data into visualization and mapping platforms
WHAT YOULL BRING:
Required Qualifications:
3 years of experience creating data visualizations for dashboards or applications
3 years of experience in mobile solutions development
3 years of experience building GIS mapping or web apps using shapefiles and raster data
Proficiency with tools like Tableau Power BI ArcGIS or JavaScript mapping libraries (e.g. Leaflet Mapbox)
Familiarity with spatial data formats mapping APIs and responsive design techniques
- 2 years of experience in data engineering including working with data pipelines and integration workflows
Preferred Skills:
Experience working on publicsector or government mapping/data platforms
Understanding of usercentered design principles
Knowledge of geospatial analytics and interactive data storytelling
Strong communication and collaboration skills
