Audible is looking for an organized and enthusiastic candidate to join the fastpaced world of Accounting and Finance. Were looking for exceptional people with accounting and related finance experience combined with systems knowledge a customer service passion analytical auditing and problemsolving skills.
The position of Senior Accountant in accordance with established policies and procedures will be responsible for daytoday general ledger and content accounting for Audibles Global Content business. This includes P&L and Balance Sheet monthly financial close activities and maintenance of the content asset subledger. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in implementing process improvements integrating new systems and participating in companywide initiatives.

You possess advanced excel skills & have experience working with large data files.
As a Senior Accountant you will...
Support the entries and maintenance of the general ledger for Audibles Global Content Accounting by ensuring proper accurate and timely recording of transactions in accordance with GAAP and Company policies
Be responsible for the maintenance and monthly reconciliation of the content asset subledger including the proper recording of asset additions cost adjustments retirements and disposals in accordance with Company policies
Support Amazons transfer pricing team to ensure compliance with policies
Review Audibles content amortization policy annually and implement new amortization policies
Review contracts and determine appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP and Company policies (i.e. prepayments accruals)
Review and analyze transactional source documentation and prepare monthly balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations including rollforwards
Support current Internal Control environment to ensure that accounting records are accurate and in compliance with GAAP
Recommend develop and implement new processes to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the team
Document current processes and procedures as necessary
Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
Collaborate within and across the organization on key companywide initiatives

5 years of accounting experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Experience in understanding US GAAP and the practical application of required standards
Experience in technical accounting analytical and computer skills
Experience with system implementations and process improvements leveraging tools to optimize operational efficiency
CPA
Workday experience
Experience entertainment or media
Proven ability to interact with various departments across an organization
Proven organizational and communication skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results
Technical proficiency working with accounting systems and basic financial analysis tools
