SAU 35 is looking for a qualified candidate for a School Psychologist position. SAU 35 serves the School Districts of Bethlehem Lafayette Landaff Lisbon and position will include but is not limited to assessment/evaluation participation in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans intervention/treatment related documentation and communication between teachers paraprofessionals related service providers and families. Position Duties and Responsibilities Except as specifically noted the following functions are considered essential to this position:Provide psychological testing (screenings initial evaluations and triennial evaluations) to students in a timely manner;To attend meetings to discuss student progress evaluation planning review evaluation results etcProvide psychological services within the District in the form of direct and/or consultative services as appropriate to assist a student in achieving their educational goals and objectives;Prioritize and schedule work tasksMaintain the confidentiality of all psychological records;Maintain and organize all psychological testing materials;Order necessary materials/equipment to carry out jobs and responsibilities related to school psychology;Refer individual students to appropriate community resource agencies as needed;Assure procedural safeguards and confidentiality for all clients;Attend Student Assistant Team meetings at assigned schools;Assist Eligibility Committees in interpreting psychological data;Assist school staff in the delivery and utilization of formative assessments; Promote the utilization of a Responsetointervention (RtI) model in the schools; Help teachers determine appropriate modifications strategies or interventions in both special and regular education settings;Assist IEP teams in determining special education students educational and psychological needs and conduct reevaluations requested at reevaluation determination meetings;Provide consultation services for regular and special education teachers and parents;Complete Medicaid billing for all eligible students;Assist in compiling manifestation determination reports and functional behavior assessments as needed; Provide crisis counseling as needed;Perform all other duties as assigned by Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of assessment instruments and their application;Knowledge of relevant State Education Codes and District rules regulations and policies;Ability to apply assessment instruments and interpret test data;Ability to work independently;Ability to be flexible and work under time constraints;Ability to collect and analyze data from a variety of sources evaluate and make recommendations;Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other departments demonstrate selfdiscipline and initiative and follow stats and district guidelines;Ability to provide appropriate educational environment and experiences based on developmental needs of students behavior management techniques; current knowledge of educational trends methods research and technology;Demonstrated ability to deliver appropriate instructional strategies in the classroom; ability to analyze student performance data; skill in analyzing diagnosing and evaluating; knowledge of varied learning styles.
