Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in physics engineering mathematics or other physical science.
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Assists medical physicists in the calibration quality assurance and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment including linear accelerators and imaging devices.
Performs routine checks and data collection for treatment planning systems to ensure accurate dose delivery and equipment performance.
Supports in the implementation and documentation of radiation safety procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Prepares and organizes patientspecific quality assurance (QA) tests including phantom setup and dosimetry measurements.
Collaborates with radiation oncologists dosimetrists and therapists to facilitate accurate and timely treatment planning and delivery.
Maintains detailed records of QA procedures equipment performance logs and physicistdirected tests for audit and accreditation purposes.
Assists in commissioning new equipment and software upgrades by conducting tests and gathering performance data under physicist supervision.
Participates in departmental research education and clinical projects as assigned by medical physicists or radiation oncology leadership.
May perform other duties as assigned.
