Job Description
Mercy Flights is accepting applications for a Parttime Safety and Emergency Preparedness Assistant position!

Job Overview:This parttime role (20 hours/week) supports the Safety and Emergency Preparedness department through safety audits documentation training coordination and special projects. The assistant helps maintain safety policies perform routine inspections and support emergency preparedness efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and track safety and emergency preparedness trainings
- Perform routine safety inspections (e.g. first aid stations ladders SPCC campus safety)
- Support and document safety and emergency preparedness committees
- Create training materials newsletters and promotional safety content
- Assist with Job Hazard Analysis and OSHA 300 log maintenance
- Manage Safety Data Sheets and chemical inventory
- Support emergency drills and safety events
- Maintain and review policies and risk register documents
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in business or safetyrelated field preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in a related field (5 years preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with audits safety procedures and regulatory compliance preferred
Certifications :
- NIMS ICS or other safety certifications preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clerical communication and organizational skills
- Detailoriented selfmotivated and teamoriented
- Familiarity with safety regulations policy writing and training tools
