Belmont Middle School is seeking a yearround School Office Secretary to join our professional team. This position is for 8 hours per day 255 days per year and qualifies for District sponsored benefits including district contribution toward Health Insurance plus fullypaid Dental Life and LongTerm Disability Insurance. Participation in the NH Retirement System is required. This position also qualifies for paidtime off including Holidays Vacation Sick and Personal Days. Job Summary: Perform various secretarial tasks and assist students parents administration and staff with daily activities and events. Duties and Responsibilities: Greet all visitors of Belmont Middle School main office courteously determine their needs and direct or escort them to their destination. Provide general secretarial support including typing filing scheduling appointments answering the telephone and routing calls and/or messages to appropriate personnel. Provide assistance with budget development and ordering utilizing the Districts Financial System including working with requests pertaining to student activity funds. Provide secretarial services to building administrators and serve as a liaison to public organizations. Collaborate with others to manage the use of the school building/campus facilities. Collaborate with appropriate personnel elsewhere in the Shaker Regional School District. Separate and distribute daily mail and ensure outgoing mail is taken each day. Organize supply areas and restock inventory. Assist the Administration in meeting the various needs of building personnel. Assist in the preparation and distribution of school forms notices and calendars. Work with Administrators in assessing how to best meet the schools various needs. Issue bus passes and confirm special transportation requests. Maintenance of the Student Information system including enrollment transfer and student attendance. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administration as deemed necessary to the operation of the school. QUALIFICATIONS/RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: High school diploma or equivalent and/or courses in office administration procedures. Knowledge of word processing spreadsheet programs emailing etc. particularly the Google suite of applications. Knowledge of modern office equipment. Ability to maintain positive collaborative relationships with the student body building professionals and members of our community. Ability to provide instructions and assistance through written and verbal communication to staff and students. Willingness to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities. Strict adherence to confidentiality.
